A Week in December by Sebastian Faulkes
A novel enjoyed by all the group about the life of a Korean girl during the Japanese occupation of Korean in the 1930's
The White Queen by Phillipa Gregory
This historic novel was not everyone's 'cup of tea' but the majority agreed it was well written (and researched) and a good read. Like others involved inthe book club I have gone on to read a number of other novel's by Phillipa.
September 2010 "Moab is my Washpot" by Stephen Fry
Eleven of us met to discuss our thoughts on this book. The general opinion was it's a different but entertaining read with some bad language which seemed unnecessary considering Stephen Fry's knowledge of the language. His recall of events 40 odd years ago seemed remarkable.
Recommend as a "good read"
