Timperley Methodist and Anglican Churches Bereavement Support Group.
Purpose:
To offer support to bereaved families known to our Churches, those whose funerals have been conducted by our ministers and anyone known in our community.
This is done by sending a card and taking flowers from the church at the time of bereavement followed by a phone call or visit to see how the person/family is coping and to offer support by meeting, listening and talking together if they deem it to be helpful. Contact is maintained at least until the 1st anniversary of the loved one's death which is acknowledged by a card, and a phone call or flowers as appropriate.
We hold a joint Annual Service of Remembrance near All Souls Day in early November for bereaved people. Invitations are sent to all whom we have been in contact with over that year.
How to get involved...
By informing the group when they hear of someone who has been bereaved who may appreciate the service.
For more information the main contact is Tina Green: Tel: 0161 941 3147.
Other Timperley Methodist Church Group members are Joan Odling and Vivien Kenyon. We meet and work jointly with members from Christchurch and Holy Cross Anglican Churches.
