Policy Statement

The Ministries Group is one of the three Groups at Timperley Methodist Church. It acts as a channel of communication with regard to worship and the administration of the sacraments.

It is also called by God to be alongside people in all aspects and at all stages of life.

It seeks to achieve this through teams with specific responsibilities in the following areas:

  • baptism, marriage and bereavement
  • work amongst children and young people
  • pastoral care and social activity

Annual meeting each April

The Ministries Group consists of:

  • Pastoral Team Coordinator
  • Worship Consultation Convener
  • Church Life Convener
  • First Steps Team Coordinator
  • Eucharistic Team Coordinator
  • Wedding Link Coordinators
  • Bereavement Support Coordinator
  • Church Steward

The Pastoral Team consists of the Pastoral Visitors and meets in September (AGM), January (surgery) and May (for study).

The Worship Consultation meets each March and consists of Local Preachers, Senior Organist, Eucharistic Team Coordinator, a Young Church Leader, three persons from each of the various age groups in the church and a Church Steward.

Church Life meets each January and consists of the First Steps Coordinator, Creche Coordinator, a Young Church Leader, a representative from each of the uniformed organisations and church groups and a Church Steward.
